LABORATORY TECHNICIAN
MATERIAL TECHNOLOGY DEPARTMENT
REPORTS TO Laboratory Manager
JOB SUMMARY Provide customers and sales department with support through the testing process, perform analytical and developmental materials testing, assist with lab testing equipment maintenance and maintaining the formula database, produce prototype parts as needed and operate a variety of analytical testing equipment.
QUALIFICATIONS High school diploma or equivalent and two to three years of experience in material testing. Knowledge of analytical testing equipment including TGA, FTIR, DSC, Instron, DensiTech, Rheometer, and Milling Machine. Must be able to safely mix/mill rubber compounds. Must be proficient in the use of computers with experience preferred in Microsoft Office products and internet use. Experience in Navision software is a plus.
