ASTM D1418, ISO 1629 Designation: AEM

ASTM D2000, SAE J200 Type/Class: EE, EF, EG, EA

Standard Color: Black

Trade Name:

Relative Cost: Moderate

General Temperature Range: -40° to +300° F

A copolymer of ethylene and methyl acrylate, ethylene acrylic also has a third, acid-containing monomer to cure the polymer chain’s active groups. AEM offers exceptional resistance to ozone, sunlight, and heat, as well as low gas permeability and moderate oil swell resistance. Flex life is good, as are tear, abrasion, and compression set properties.
