The shaft needs
a burr- and nick-free chamfer to
prevent damage to the sealing lip during installation.
Recommended chamfer dimensions are shown in Figure
130. In lieu of a chamfer, the lead-in corners
of the shaft may also be radiused to 0.125 in (3
mm).
